Hey Guys,
I am working on reformatting my computer this weekend starting on Friday and reloading all my software in between outtings with my guys. So if I am not quick to respond I am still loading that software. Have a safe weekend!
Enjoy!
Chris

We made it to thursday...

Hello to everyone...

I have been asked more then once to do comparison screen shots for different software programs. I do have some tutorials and screen shots of different programs on my download page. HERE If anyone would like to collaborate and help me with screen shots as I do not have everywhere software, but many maybe that would be a good thing to get them together. I will have to think further on that. Right now with the holiday weekend. My brain is ready for a siesta.

If you are a member of the QMC I will be reworking some of my recent borders for 5x7 frames per many many requests. So keep an eye out for that... and welll...

On to life...
What a busy couple of days. It has been nice but chaotic. I am in a better mood about the rain because I walked the garden and man the plants are loving it. I wish my lemons would turn yellow already. Soon Soon I am sure. My hubby took my big truck today because he seems to come home when it is raining and I usually get home right before it. So I am taking the little work car. This little car makes me want to speed, but I will watch my driving style. Plus I will have XM for the day. I always toy with getting it, but never commit because I dont want to pay monthly for another thing. Sooo.. I haven't gotten it yet, but it's fun to have it every once in a while.

I need my hubby to come home a little earlier today so we can tune up our RV. We have a teeny tiny RV that sleeps 4 in two beds. I love it. Just big enough for the three of us. It needs a few touch ups and then we will be headed to the Rodeo on Saturday. Also, going to attend the steak fry afterwards for the rotary and then the dance. My son is looking forward to it and has informed me he will dance with me once then he hast to find a girl "his tall" (meaning his height) to dance with. The live band is usually very good. I am looking forward to it!! Definitely. What are your plans for the weekend?? Hope it is to have lots of fun, be with family and be safe...

Gotta run the little one to school.
Enjoy!

Rain Rain Go Away.
You would think because I live in the desert I would love the rain and I do at times, but the last few days it has just been Rain Rain. My friend Lori laughs at me because where she lives they don't get Rain. They get torrential downpours. Well thats fine, but this is the desert there are not run offs, rivers etc or it to go into. The city planning of streets don't figure in the 2 inches of rain and therefor the roads get unnavigable and those who try to navigate it can't drive and just pound through and sink their cars in fast running washes (deep dry river beds that fill up quick wen the water hits) And we live on a dirt road. So the roads wash away. Our choice this last one, but still watching someone hit the road in their little nissan sentra when even the big 4 wheel drive trucks won't go through is embarrassing. Watching the sheer panic hit them of what they have done and how their car is now floating to the edge of the road and creating more of a water issue and then they end up sitting on top of the car until A) it goes down or B) they do a swift water rescue. Which under the "stupid motorist law" the driver will get billed for. Okay thats my rampage for today. ha.

And I must be in a mood because I could think of another... I went to get a pedicure today and it was so nice. I went to a different salon. I decided that since my previous Salon... Savvy Salon and Day Spa in Tucson, arizona only honors their gift certificates for 6 months and not the normal year that most others do in the area. I don't need to go there anymore. Plus listening to the nail techs yammer on about their kids getting arrested blah blah is just to much. So I tried Gadabout. I paid ten dollars more then at Savvy and I felt awesome when I left. The people behind the counter talked to me. The hairdressers smiled at me as I walked out. The nail tech gave me some water to drink during my pedicure, offered me magazines and kept checking to make sure Iwas okay. It was phenomenal. I will be going back to her and referring others to her as well. I was the hold out in the family for Savvy and our friends and thinking there service was good and then decided. Nope I am done. So gadabout here I come. I need to get my hair redone so I will be chatting them up and finding a hair stylist as well. So kudos to Bobbi at Gadabout! She made my day.

This past weekend was Karate.. my sons first foray into the Karate world and the teachers first session for the next 6 weeks. The Instructor explains to them what he wants them to do for an obstacle course. And I watch the little kids as they stand in their ready pose. Hands up, back foot lifted on its toes and front foot slightly forward. Some of them are swaying. Some have given up the pose. By my little trooper is standing at the ready. He is serious about this and wants to continue coming. he knows Mom said if you don't stay serious during class then guess what you won't go anymore. So he is standing as still as possible and finally he has had it. He raises his hand says in a clear voice.... " My legs are getting tired because I am standing like this SIR".. The parents all start to giggle and I just smile. That's my kid. :0) I think he might be the instructors new challenge. oh well as always. love my life

Enjoy!

Where have I been?

Where have I been?? Preparing uploads for the QMC of course.

Here are some of the new files that will be completely loaded to the QMC by tomorrow.
And more from this weekend tomorrow. I have been test cutting and tweaking and need to go sit on the couch with the hubby and watch a little tv. He is wooing me. He wants a 40 inch new flat screen. So he brought home a 24 inch tv for his new office we are building. Only we get to use it for now because his office isn't completed. He is wooing and he is wooing right. It is very clear and I like it. Could just be that we were watching an 18 inch tv that was my Mom's and gifted to me years and years ago. :-) But his wooing is working. He's a great wooer.

Coupon, SCUT files, QMC ohhh and YIKES scorpion

Hello Hello!

Business first...

If you purchased the coupon file for today, Jumble Leaves 2 and requested the SCUT file. I sent out a ton of these this morning. If you didn't get it. I missed your email for some reason. So please please send me an email to remind me. I wanna make sure everyone is covered.

Next I uploaded this file below to the QMC. I hope everyone likes it. It was so much fun to work with. I am still working on the SCUT version so hopefully I will get it done this afternoon. And have it completely loaded to the membership.
I got another email today about requests. I do take them. I don't charge to create them. However, I reserve the right to not do a request that is copyrighted. And I do load those files requested to the store. Hope that all makes sense. So send your requests and make sure request is in your email subject. My email is HERE.

On to life...
So today is not as eventful as yesterday afternoon and evening. Thankkkk goodness. My little one decided to wad a whole roll of TP in the toilet and hmm... well we had run over and I have banned him from that room until I can finish cleaning up the floor again. I sprayed and rinsed it once, but now I need to do it again. And last night he says Mom a bug. I ask him to grab a shoe and smack it. I look and YIKES it's a scorpion. We slept in his fort on Friday night and in dragging a blanket outside it must have attached itself. My hubby thinks it was a very very dead scorpion before it got smacked. He had ample time to look at it because after my son smashed it with a shoe I put a glass cup over it and waited for hubby to get its remains out of the house. I was not taking the off chance it was like some horror movie and the thing would decide to move when I went to pick it up. icko. yikes. So if it was a very Dead scorpion it was wrapped in a blanket we took to Prescott and camped with so it has been in my closet for a bit. ugh bugh yuck ick ook. So a bunch of ick yesterday. And as for today well I am off to clean that bathroom one more time and then hopefully I will be over the ick for a few days.
And as for you... Have a wonderful evening!
Enjoy!

Tuesday.. Coupon.. tadpoles..chewing like a cow..

Hello to all. It is Tuesday. If you wonder where I am .. well I am being creative and pushing a bunch of files around and test cutting and tweaking. When I get on these binges I don't want to work on anything else. It is almost like my fingers can't keep up with my brain. So that is where I am... creating away.

I have sent a coupon to the yahoo group for the Jumble of Leaves 2 file. I will be converting it to SCUT today for those who are interested. Just purchase the file and email me your receipt requesting it in SCUT form. I will send it on its way to you.
Hey have you been to the creative teams blog today??? Angie uploaded a phenomenal pic of an acrylic book that she scrapped. Check it out... HERE.. While you are there look at which layout Rosalie submitted with and won a White Ribbon at the Fair! AWESOME!

On to life.. So yesterday I took my little one to school because the hubby had an early appointment. And when we got there they had a fish bowl full of tadpoles. It was really cool. I haven't seen tadpoles since I lived in Wisconsin. I was all excited. My son looked at me and smiled that.. "Yes Mother" smile. and he tried to get excited and looked at me and said MOM there just fish. I said no they grow into frogs they start like this and then get legs. and he looked at me and said. "And we will have FROGS in our classroom. What???" So I dropped it. Apparently Mom's days living in Wisconsin on the farm searching out tadpoles is not nearly as cool as having a no frogs classroom. Well my other Wisconsin heritage came out a bit because I went to pick him up and he was sitting eating lunch. His teacher told me that she was told by my son "You should sit down and eat your whole lunch with your mouth closed. Because eating with your mouth open looks like a cow" Woops. ::hand raised:: that would be mom growing up on a dairy farm. hahah. oh well. on to the next day.
Have a wonderful day!!Enjoy!

Sleeping in the fort... new qmc file ready for download..

Hello to everyone. It seems Friday evening has swooped upon me. My Son and Hubby are outside right now vaccuuming out the fort so we can sleep in it tonight. 30% chance of showers. So we shall see how long it lasts. he is super excited. The fort is built to withstand a truck so I am not worried about it holding us all. And it is a few feet off the ground.. about 4 ft. So won't be to many creatures coming in to see us. I am excited because my little one is bouncing up and down in anticipation. That I love.

I uploaded the pictured file to the membership and have another one ready to upload. The one I uploaded is for framing multiple pictures. Having a little one I catch so many pictures of really the same thing, but the expressions are so different. I have a couple more that I need tweak after the test cut. This is the one already there and look for many many more to come and if you miss them there will be a sale coming that you can join in and pick those up you like.

Have a wonderful weekend and hopefully you get some time for scrapping!

Enjoy!

Chris

Favorite things... First Day of School.. Creative bug..

Well it's that time again. I have started going through the list of people I would like to get gifts for this holiday season. You may think I am crazy because it is August, but Christmas in July theories had to start with crafters. I am searching the web and finding interesting ideas and thoughts that I can apply to my holiday gift giving ideas. If you find any ideas you think are fun and unique send them my way and I will post them here. I like unique ideas and gifts.

This year for the holidays I think I am going to approach my female family members and see if they would like to do a "favorite things" gift bags. Where we can place out gift bags with each of our names on it Christmas Day and when we all get together we can put our favorite things from this year in the bag for the others. Favorite things being a book, cd, lip gloss, recipe, a kitchen tool, anything that they have found is wonderful to have in their lives. I think this would be a fun way to keep the cost of the holidays down and share something of ourselves with the other ladies in the family. We shall see what they think about this. I probably won't approach them until later in august about it or they will think I am nutz. I could be. :-) If you have a favorite thing from this year, post it in my CBOX on the right hand side of my blog, email me or post a comment. I am curious as to what everyone enjoys the most in their life. I know our Cutters our Craft Robos our Silhouettes, but just in general what could you not live without and it doesn't have to be a scrappy thing. Could be anything.

I went to Wally World and purchased a canning set last week and went online and order the blue book of preserving from Ball and I think I am ready for next weekends trip to the Peach Farm and to get veggies. My garden itself could never fit all of these things in. So I can buy them in bulk and preserve them. I am excited and nervous they will be any good. But I thought what a great holiday gift to give as well. Peach Jam with a pretty ribbon on it. Hopefully not to many relatives will be reading this or they will know what their gifts will contain. Oh well hopefully they will forget by December. :0)

I didn't get much crafting time in this weekend. But I did spends lots of time with my family. Got to see my beautiful niece she is getting to be so much fun and my sister. It was nice to hang out and chat. something we find harder to do in person, but with modern technology we can email, text, phone and get in the car to meet up if we need to. My hubby understands the girl talk moments and scidaddled for a bit so we could just chat. My son was so excited his cousin was coming over he started going through his toys mid day and asking will this be to small for her? Will this be okay? etc. it was cute.

Today was my little ones first day of Pre-K. I was so nervous for him. I had dreams all night that I didn't pack his lunch right. I didn't remember to put socks on him with his tennies. I didn't give him a bottle of water with water in it. Weird, but my hubby called and said he got there and took off and was trying to go play with his backpack on before he went into class to put it away. He was very excited. He is in the bigger kids building now for the Pre-K and he reminds me daily how he is bigger now and can do things without my help. So wonderful, but pulls on the heart strings a little. I got some cute pics. I will share them as soon as I get them off the camera.

Okay I have errands to run in town and then I have about 5 files to convert and get moving. I am feeling the creative bug. Woooohooo!!

Thanks for listening to my ramblings.

Hope you have a wonderful Monday!
Enjoy!

Saturday...

Well yesterday I told my son it was time to get the room cleaned up. He came up with excuse after excuse even said he wishes he could say Abracadacra and make it all go away.. I smiled and thought. .. me to honey.. me tooo! Only I like Supercalifragilisticexpealidocious. Did I spell that right? I hope so cause I know all the words to that song. Love that movie. Anyways, he spent about twenty minutes yelling and singing abracadabra in his room. Cute!

Well we are headed off to the horse sale today for a long day of recoup and tomorrow I am determined to get my craft room tidied up in completion and starting helping on my hubby's newoffice space. If I am not on tomorrow, I am just busy hanging out for now...

Leaking like a sieve? and other ramblings on life

Okay if you have joined the QMC you should have been added. If the link above doesn't work, please email me your order number and forum name. There are a few out there that I couldn't get a match with your email address and have tried to get a hold of you, but couldn't. Everything is filed by the order number so please send that with your requests. I met my goal to keep the membership alive. So THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH to everyone who joined! Now lets have fun...
**
Have you visited my Creative Teams blog. Sussann uploaded an awesome layout using 3 of my files. I like that she took apart one of the files and just used the title. I always hope that users will pull them apart and use the pieces for many things. I, also, have more as well that I will upload later today if I get a chance before Meet your teacher
**
Challenge - I have a bunch of emails from folks asking when will the next challenge be. I am thinking Sept/Oct. I have to take a break in between to offer the 10 or so files to give away. I offer them in SCUT GSD KNK AI WPC format and you can scrap anything you want with them. So check back closer to then or join my yahoo group and I usually send an email out when I do it. The link is on the side

On to life...
Yesterday was a very long day. I had a docs appt and a ton of errands to run and at the end of it all I was driving and tire went flat. so I pulled into a chevron, filled it with air and sat there and watched it deflate in two minutes. Luckily, the young one was with Grandma so he didn't have to wait with me in the heat. I called my hubby because I can't really bend and twist yet and putting air in it just caused a cramp in my side. So the hubby ran over and changed the tire for me and even took the quickly leaking one to the tire store for me this morning. When I go in to Meet the Teacher this afternoon we will stop and have it put back on my truck. The bummer is I will have kept my track record of being there at least once a month with one of our vehicles. I almost almost had the track record beat. So nice when the Tire Shop guys know you by name when you walk in and say Hey how ya doing Chris? Well something to be said for friendly service and then again not a great saying for my track record.

So I have plans for the weekend and part of them are to keep up my walking every day. I started Mon & Tues with a half mile and Weds with a mile and yesterday I did a mile and a quarter. So hopefuly by next week I will be at two miles and stick to that. I hope to get this in every morning. I got a copy of my reports at the docs of all my Scans and Tests and so now because I have a copy of my CT Scan I know exactly which organs are inflating correctly or not or are showing signs of anything. So guess what... couldn't be more motivating then have it in black and white the possibilities. Could be the best preventative medicine ever. And as for my doc... Well the first thing out of his mouth when he walked into the room was... "You know there were a few things I would have done different" I was like WHAT> HUH> WHAT> I had quick visions of lieing on the operating table again. OH GREAT. So I just smiled sweetly and said... "Oh really" and he smiled and said yeah. "I wish I woulda gotten a clear picture or two of the gaping hole you had in your diaphragm muscle." I just smiled and again and said "that's okay. I can get an idea from these pictures that show all the internal permanent stitches" Wew. He is a great surgeon and calm I like that. I like calm. His other comment as he ripped off all the little steri-strips from my Belly was... "Who the heck poked all these holes in you? You'd leak like a sieve if we pored in water" I think it was a diversionary tactic while he ripped those little suckers off just like I use with my son. The docs Mom must be very proud as I am sure he learned those tactics from her. The wonderful things we give to our children so they can carry them on and use them in life.

Well my son just walked by with a full gallon of milk. I better go look. Have a great weekend and Enjoy!

Tis a beautiful Monday

Good Morning to all. What a wonderful weekend! I did not alot of heavy activity, but got to attend a Farmer's Market out by us on Saturday a.m. for a little bit. And my son played on the swing set they had and I got to buy some handmade soap. I love handmade soap. I have to be careful because alot of them have wheat germ in them and make me itchy itchy, but I bought two. One smells like chamomile and pretty, but the other smells like cocoa butter and the island beach. I am using the cocoa butter one. Hmmm.. smells awesome. I think I might go back to the lady in October and buy a few bars and use them for in Christmas gifts. I wonder if homemade soap has a shelf life or if I should buy it closer to the holiday. does anyone know?
**
And this morning I went for a walk. Yeah! I had enough energy and went out while my hubby was feeding the herd and fly spraying and fly masking them etc. So I walked our circle drive about 4 times and felt wobbly so made it my last and came in side. yeah! So happy to get moving again.
**

and it seems in the membership there was a winner for the mousey poll so I will be posting this file this week. I will take down the button on the top right of my blog when it doesn't work anymore. There is a little more time 'til the link gets pulled from the store at Paperthreads. So take advantage of the window of opportunity to still join.
**
On to life... My little ones last week of vacation is starting today. He is watching sesame street as I type this. School starts next Monday. He is in Pre-K, but he already has his backpack and we will go this weekend and pick up some clothes and new tennies. He will be going 5 days a week. I am bummed about this because I enjoy our Thursday Fridays together to do different things, butttt I am excited for him because I know he really likes to keep busy and do new things. I am searching the mail for his new school year packet. Hopefully it will be here today so I know his teacher. Well the Legos are out. I am gonna go help build a tower and then get those files converted for the QMC.

Have a wonderful day!
Enjoy!
Chris

Liquid to Soup Yeah! Or wait is that the same thing?

I don't think I have ever been excited about soup or applesauce for that matter, but today is the day I get to migrate from Slim-fast vanilla gluten free to a thicker consistency like soups or very very blended other foods. Mostly soup. That is exciting. I have realized that all the protein shakes etc come in Sweet flavors. I am just not great with the sweet thing. I am a salt person. So I sit here with my can of slimfast for the morning and usually only make it through half the can. Then I will think about what I can have for lunch.

I am only able to get about 1/2 cup to 1 cup of food down. My stomach was reduced in size to about a baseball because they had to sew it on to itself to create a knot. This way it won't migrate upward again. Last night I got into coughing fit and thought for sure I would rip something. However, I have a new found ability to just breathe. It is mahvelous! I worry about overfilling my little tummy and if it will rip the stitches holding it all together. So I am going with small small meals a few times a day. In eating a cup of Mott's AppleSauce last night I ate about half and thought I had food crammed into my throat. So I slowed down and waited a bit and then finished it. Yeah! But I was stuffed.

So I think I am going to go buy a baseball to keep in my purse. Can't decide if I should decorate it. What do you think? I could put THIS IS YOUR TUMMY all over it. Or positive phrases or Watch the stitches, eat from small dishes. Or I could just leave it plain and put it in my purse or leave it on the kitchen counter for a reference. Have to think on this. Either way. My hubby will smile and say your a nut.
So I am uncomfortable in a manageable way, not alot of pain, just some uncomfort and things are less and less foggy. Which means I will soon be back to designing. Yeah! Tomorrow I think we are gonna go walk around a local farmers market. It is a very tiny one, but it will be good to get out of the house and get some fresh air. And not be a long involved trip.
I just wanted to stop in and say thank you to everyone again. Your emails have been highlights of my day.
Have a wonderful wonderful day and weekend!
Enjoy!

PS The night before I went in my hubby put up pegboard which I painted first and new lights and a few other things in my newly renovated craft room. It is awesome!! I need to organize things, but I can't wait to show some pictures. Then we get to working on his home office. Lovin' it.
